How do i generate a downline?

I'm starting a MLM business and i don't know how to go about getting my product out there. Any ideas? I've considered putting flyers on peoples windows at the grocery store but I just think when people do that to my car I throw it away. Also I don't really have anyone around me interested or with people around them interested, so I'm strapped for ideas.

I have been in the Network Marketing industry for 4 years, and I will tell you that bugging your friends a family, posting flyers on cars, stalking people in the mall, and all the stuff that most MLM companies teach does not work. I am telling to not waste your time with it, it will only lead to heartache and a bad feeling of the industry as a whole. These ways of doing business worked at one time, but rarely work anymore. With the internet now days its more easier than ever to reach people who actually want to be a part of a business and work with you. There is better ways to market a legitimate MLM company today than they did in the early days.
