I'm starting my business from scratch….any low budget suggestions/ideas? It's called showers in a box.

by admin on May 6, 2009

Showers in a box will cater to baby / bridal showers all in a box for one low price. I make all items and sell them at a very budget friendly price. I even lease some items and all are available for purchase. They really are beautiful items and the price is very very compatibale and very reasonable….I've done my research on the price and quality. Thanks -Diana-

Build a website to do, so you save money on printing catalog, and more exposure. Get a credit card machine from eBay, shop around. Costco offers merchant service.

There are many things you should/need to do:

1. Make sure you incorporate you company - this costs money but limits liabilities.
2. Get a website. Business today is moving online. With a website, you can save on print costs and even offer advertisements on your site such that it completely covers the price of the website! Feel free to contact us (www.imaginewebstudios.com).
3. Network!!! Spread your company word-of-mouth. This is honestly the best way to get new business and its free. You may want to give out business cards to your clients, so that they can give them to family and friends.
4. Come up with a catchy company name and slogan.

GOOD LUCK!

Here are a few ideas:

1) You probably should have a Website. You can hire a Website builder for a modest amount. Look in the classified ads, place a notice on a university bulletin board, etc.

2) Yellow Pages. This is more expensive but is worth every penny. People are always searching the Yellow Pages and your ad will be seen by hordes of eyes.

3) Hire a table at the local women's market and at local fairs. Bring along samples of your beautiful boxes and be ready to take orders.

4) Attend a gift trade fair. You will be able to network with hundreds of people in the gift industry.

5) Contact wedding planners and bridal shops in your area. Bring in your product and your business cards. Ask them to recommend you to customers. They may ask that you recommend them, as well.

Best of luck.

before actually bringing this new business idea out to make you money you really need to know if people will buy your products your offering.

yes its a good idea but are people going to be interested?

why not set up a stall either at a market, car boot or in town on a weekday and promote your business to other people. get people to gather around whilst you explain what your offering to people.

offer then a small sample of the product. make up a questionnaire for people to fill in to see what they think about this idea and if people are interested and would like to buy, make sure you have a few boxes to sell.

do this before setting up a website etc as you might notice thta this might be a good sell and you have spent lots on it and wont see a penny.

at least you can get peoples opinions for real other than your friends. also when doing this and it is sucessful, dont forget to get intouch with companies to see if they would like to stock this in their shop for a percentage.

good luck
